Even ArminasX admits this isn’t a completely scientific way of going about it, but a fairly accurate listing of the popularity of the hundreds of SL blogs out there is posted on his site here. It’s a function of the technorati ratings for blogs found at the second life bloggers ning site. Of which we are a part. Though slightly interesting it is just a list, like all lists on the internet. I appreciate ArminasX taking the time to do it though and here’s hoping with the new site and interest we will crack the top 50.

By the way, my good friend and supporter Alicia Cheanux cracked the top 30. And Gwyn, another mentor and friend, cracked the top 10. Of course, the premier news site, NWN, run by Hamlet Au is in the top 3.

I can’t believe I’ve never given love to Seraphine! She’s a great ironic wit and what she does with SL for comics is both simple, elegant and perfect. I recommend her highly. Her site is here.

The best of 2008

So, it’s time to look back at 2008 and take a first blush reaction at the favorite thing I created. If I have to list just one thing it’s gotta be my Insulin Pump. I love the fact that I created something that is a real education tool I don’t sell it, it’s just there to grab and hopefully bring a part of identity from the real world into the virtual self. Plus I got hot avatars to pose with it!!!! Some of them look like this!

If I’m talking about projects, I was very proud of Endless Nights, even though it didn’t last I was happy to do a low lag rp sim and enjoyed it. Not to mention the Natalis sim! I love my home/business in Second Life and I hope to have exciting news on that front soon. (Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but we will soon have a full sim and may have rental opportunities if you like my style of building, you may luck out.)

As far as IDG goes, it’s been difficult. We haven’t sold much the last few months and it’s hurt. I understand that’s just the economy right now, and I’ve been frustrated, I owe a huge thank you to all my partner designers and other friends who pulled me out of my funk and said I needed to keep going, The social aspect of this is really why I do what I do and I wouldn’t have made it without them. Some of them have joined me as designers this year and they are growing leaps and bounds. So thank you to all of you, if you don’t know who you are that’s my error and remind me to make up for it!
