Hotel Internet done right

OK, usually I don’t post First Life stuff here, but, if you say you have internet in your hotel, make sure you can at least pull up gmail. Otherwise you don’t. I changed hotels purely on this alone, I got a cheaper rate and Internet that works. A ‘value’ hotel doing it better then a boutique is a sign you need to change. I recommend Hampton Inn. It never has a problem. Rant over.

The best of 2008

So, it’s time to look back at 2008 and take a first blush reaction at the favorite thing I created. If I have to list just one thing it’s gotta be my Insulin Pump. I love the fact that I created something that is a real education tool I don’t sell it, it’s just there to grab and hopefully bring a part of identity from the real world into the virtual self. Plus I got hot avatars to pose with it!!!! Some of them look like this!

If I’m talking about projects, I was very proud of Endless Nights, even though it didn’t last I was happy to do a low lag rp sim and enjoyed it. Not to mention the Natalis sim! I love my home/business in Second Life and I hope to have exciting news on that front soon. (Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but we will soon have a full sim and may have rental opportunities if you like my style of building, you may luck out.)

As far as IDG goes, it’s been difficult. We haven’t sold much the last few months and it’s hurt. I understand that’s just the economy right now, and I’ve been frustrated, I owe a huge thank you to all my partner designers and other friends who pulled me out of my funk and said I needed to keep going, The social aspect of this is really why I do what I do and I wouldn’t have made it without them. Some of them have joined me as designers this year and they are growing leaps and bounds. So thank you to all of you, if you don’t know who you are that’s my error and remind me to make up for it!

Where have you been?!?!

Sick. Dealing with Holidays and Family. Trying to adjust to a new job and travel. Unmotivated. Frustrated. very very tired.

So I’ve not been around alot. Thank you to those of you who asked, and those of you who didn’t but pounced when I got back. The concert went off with Damian on Sunday and I owe huge thank yous to him and Nikki his manager and Neit, the woman who pulls my butt out of the fire when it comes to things like that. Our next concert should be Stella on Sunday but I need to confirm. I hope I’ll be around more, but it’s hard to get into Second Life when I’ve not sold anything all month. It begins to look like a money pit more then it looks like fun. I’m trying hard to rediscover the fun and not worry as much about the business. Bear with me.
